About Queensland Leadership

A 'bigger picture' approach to leadership

Queensland Leadership is a year-long leadership development program for people who want to drive change in their own communities, organisations and spheres of influence; people who want to play an active role in creating a more civil society, wherever they may be working.

Modelled on the award-winning Sydney Leadership program, and now in its third year, Queensland Leadership is an invitation to put up your hand for change, to work with others to scrutinise and challenge the complexities of modern leadership—and to help take the culture of leadership in Queensland to a new place.

Queensland Leadership will provide you with new skills, insights, fresh inspiration and impetus to take action on the most important challenges you face.

Join a new network of leaders from all sectors

Cross-sectoral participation is fundamental to this program.

Queensland Leadership starts with the recognition that for our organisations and communities to survive and thrive in the 21st century we must adapt and change to discover new solutions to our most stubborn and pervasive problems.

These problems have complex and often hidden causes and involve diverse stakeholders and vested interests. Finding lasting solutions calls for a higher order of thinking and connecting, and requires private enterprise, government and NGOs to start working together in new ways.

This is the opportunity that Queensland Leadership provides.

Each year it brings together a diverse group of talented and motivated individuals from the across the business, government and not-for-profit sectors who can share ideas, challenge each others’ views and work collectively to develop the insights, skills and connections which are the foundation of effective leadership in our complex world.

The relationships formed during an invigorating year together form a dynamic, new, cross-sectoral, professional network and opens doors that otherwise would remain closed.

Queensland Leadership participants will establish lasting connections which continue to provide ongoing support and development, new resources, ideas and opportunities in their personal and professional lives.
