Growing Communities Together
GROWING COMMUNITIES TOGETHER — BANKSTOWN, NSW
Adaptive Leadership & Collaboration
A leadership development program delivered by Social Leadership Australia as part of The Benevolent Society's Growing Communities Together initiative to build stronger, more resilient communities in Bankstown by connecting and empowering people.
What does it mean to be a community leader?
What does community leadership look like?
Our Adaptive Leadership & Collaboration program will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of the challenges their communities face as well as developing their personal leadership skills.
The program is designed to build on the existing skills of community leaders, developing their capacity to improve collaboration within their local communities to achieve better and more sustainable outcomes.
Taught in a highly interactive way — including a mixture of theory, practice, community engagement and reflection — the program will add practical value immediately by introducing participants to a different way of thinking about leadership and collaboration and equipping them with skills and tools they can apply in their professional and personal lives.
The content and structure is based on the year-long Sydney Leadership program which has been run by Social Leadership Australia since 1999.
Who is this for?
This program is targeted at change agents within the Bankstown area who are interested in making progress in their community. They may currently be in a leadership position, or aspire to take up a leadership role.
