The Australia Social Innovation eXchange (ASIX) is holding the First Australian Social Changemakers' Festival. Spanning nine days, this event is a chance to celebrate social innovation in Australia, draw attention to some of the social challenges facing us today and showcase social innovations and groups tackling these challenges.

Do you want to know more about social innovation? Would you like a chance to showcase the work your group is doing to innovate for a better world? Do you want to explore themes of social innovation through art for a chance to win $3000The Australian social changemakers festival is the perfect opportunity.

Spanning nine days the Australian Social changemakers festival includes five key elements:

Social Changemakers Exhibition and Art Prize, Friday 13th Sunday 22nd April

Non-established artists with a passion for social changemaking will use cross-media, installation artwork to explore their chosen issue for the chance to win $3,000. The exhibition is taking place at the Weave Arts Centre in the CarriageWorks precinct. You can enter your artwork now.

Gala launch event, evening of Friday 13th April

Social Innovation Fair

Organisations will have a chance to celebrate and share their work in social innovation at the Social Innovation Fair. If you would like to be involved contact Steve Lawrence at 0417 488 165 or steve.lawrence@asix.org.au.

Special events, Friday 13th – Sunday 22nd April

Want to know more about social innovation and connect with changemakers innovating for a better world? A range of workshops, forums and special events run by Australia’s leading social innovators will be held throughout the Festival. Stay tuned for more details.

Much of the Festival program will be webcasted to allow broad participation from the ASIX community.
